From what I can work out, optioning a Premium Plus with Technology Package vs. a Prestige without Driver Assist basically gets you: - Adaptive headlights - Audi
I actually think the B8 is exceedingly dated. Much of what VW and Audi did from 2008 to 2012 or so has not aged well, IMO. Conversely, I think the B8.5 may have some chance, though I don't imagine any run-of-the-mill modern Audi, save for some R8 variant, perhaps, will appreciate. Design-wise, I'd put the B5 and the MkI TT against anything.
The 12v ignition is slightly different in an S5 vs S4 if I remember correctly (or maybe it was just B8 vs B8.5). If you decide to go this route OP I can send pictures of the relay and pin I wired it to.
Jun 9, 2012 · In addition, no more GAS Guzzler tax as the 3.0T supercharged V6 is more fuel efficient. All these factors make the S5 a no brainer for me over an A5. As an A5 prestige can run around 50K and I have a base S5 with B&O and 19" on order for $52k including loyalty. Reply Like.

Can't speak much about engines but on the DSG gearbox front Audi put a revised part in from late 2012 so some late b8s but mostly b8.5s as the facelift came in mostly in 2013. Round gear knob yes. Flat bottom wheel was optional I think but wasn't available on the pre-facelift.
Nov 10, 2016 · 1. go w/ the 2013/14 s4. pros - b/c it's my favorite for the reasons i've stated. cons - price - 30k minimum for any kind of lower mileage car and that means a higher payment. 2. go w/ the 2013 bmw 335. pros - 5-8 grand less expensive than s4, still gorgeous interior, great place to spend time and fun drive as well. May 19, 2022 · Definitely worth it. I have a 2016 B8.5 (CREC) S5. You should gain about 90 bhp with S1 and no hardware changes. You should also consider getting the gearbox TCU remapped to make the most of the S1 ECU map. This sums up the problem with Front engine Audi's - and the Audi arrives with the immediate disadvantage of having all eight of its cylinders mounted completely forward of the front axle line. That means the RS5 has an imbalance in its 4000-pound weight (56.3 percent front, 43.7 rear) that’s a recipe for understeer. .
